As I gaze upon this earth and up into the heavens, I am at constant awe of the majestic wonders that God has painted before our own very eyes. He filled the sky with a perfect array of colors: blue, yellow, orange, red, pink and white. He made sunrise and sunset and so much more. I believe that God so loved color or He wouldn’t have made it! He did this for us. Think about this, I mean really, think about this: He created heaven and earth and all its glory. And oh yes, He created and painted the Great Smoky Mountains with so many brilliant colors that it is hard to fathom. What a gift!
I’ve been coming to these mountains for over a decade now. It wasn’t until I was granted the awesome privilege of moving here to really experience the true magnificence of the national park and all that Mother-Nature truly has to offer within her. Often, I tell myself as I am hiking along the trails, God must have had me in mind when He made this majestic wonder: Oh yes, -2nd to Heaven in my eyes! He must have really known how much I would truly love and appreciate these mountains. I never knew that they would become such a part of me, and me so much a part of them.
